Job Description:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with expertise in compliance and taxation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. In addition to payroll processing, the candidate will be expected to provide guidance on tax implications and compliance issues related to payroll.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime.

2. Administration of payroll processes and benefits schemes, delivering monthly Payrolls while complying with the Policies and Controls framework.

2. Ensure compliance with National, state, and local regulations related to payroll, taxes, and benefits.

3. Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.

4. Prepare and file payroll tax returns and other related documents.

5. Representation during Payroll-related audits through data evidence gathering and internal coordination.

6. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.

7. Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers or other stakeholders.

8. Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and employee information.

9. Continuously improve the payroll operation process.

10. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential information with discretion.

Skills and Qualifications required:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and tax compliance.

3. In-depth knowledge of National, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.

4. Experience working on EPFO, Income Tax and other necessary portals

5. Experience with auditing of challans and necessary statutory factors

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Prior experience working on Razorpay, KEKA or related tools
