We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our awesome team.

Your experience with web development and data management will make you an essential member of our computational team. You will work alongside a brilliant group of scientists, engineers and technicians, supporting our journey towards large-scale production of cultivated fat.

At every step, you will play a huge role in shaping the future of food.

As a Software Engineer, you will develop tools to acquire, visualise, and analyse data from our lab and production facility. Your work will span writing and deploying automation scripts to UX design and web development. You will work closely with scientists across the company to identify and address their computational needs.

You should have:

• At least 2 years’ experience working in software engineering
• The ability to write well-tested, elegant, production-ready code in Python
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, including containerisation with Docker
• Familiarity with cloud service providers such as AWS or GCP
• Experience writing complex queries in SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
• A passion for delivering end-to-end solutions for users
• A talent for teamwork and collaboration
  
  

Ideally, you'll have experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following areas:

• Distributed task management - architecting, monitoring and debugging
• Scientific knowledge in biology, chemistry and/or physics
• Networking, e.g. mounting network drives, connecting to IoT devices
• Querying REST APIs
• Front end development with TypeScript + React
