About the role
Pachama is looking for a Strategic Account Manager who will be a dedicated resource to Pachama’s most valuable corporate partners, building deep relationships within the client’s organization and working cross functionally with internal teams to drive successful engagements. You will ensure that Pachama delivers on the value that our clients expect, leveraging your deep expertise in forest carbon projects, carbon markets, and corporate climate strategies and establishing lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.

Pachama’s core technology harnesses satellite imaging with artificial intelligence to measure carbon captured in forests. What You Will Help Us With:

  • Lead account strategy and relationship management for strategic clients
  • Act as a business partner for a portfolio of forest carbon projects, providing monthly updates, including in-depth project details, and handling coordination with project leaders across multiple projects
  • Provide continuous engagement between clients and project developers
  • Partner with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including Supply, Sales, and Finance) to source forest projects that meet client needs and to provide ongoing marketing, legal and product support for client-funded forest projects
  • Lead contract negotiations and deal structuring on behalf of client
  • Coordinate travel with clients to project sites and respond to various ad hoc requests
  • Align with carbon development and implementation teams for comprehensive project management success
  • Drive Pachama Originals program growth and expansion

Experience & Skills We're Looking For:

  • Deep understanding of and experience with carbon project origination, including metrics and components of successful projects
  • Technical knowledge of carbon project design, experience working directly with project developers and forest carbon projects
  • Proven track record of corporate client account management and/or sales
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in an unstructured, results-driven environment
  • Great presentation skills along with high confidence in engaging with decision-makers, including c-suite executives
  • Strong intercultural skills to work with clients and teammates across the Americas
  • Personal passion about addressing climate change
