We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Vice President of Refining & Supply Chain to join our dynamic leadership team. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our critical metals journey, from raw material procurement and feedstock management to efficient refining operations, high-quality product delivery, and robust supply chain optimization. With your extensive experience, leadership expertise, and passion for technology, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, maximizing efficiencies, and propelling our company to the forefront of the critical metals industry through cutting-edge technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and vision: Develop and implement a comprehensive operational and supply chain strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals, ensuring a seamless flow of materials, cost-effectiveness, market responsiveness, and proactive technology integration.
  • Oversee all refining operations: Lead a team of dedicated professionals across various refining facilities, encompassing feedstock handling, extraction, purification, and final product production, prioritizing safety, efficiency, quality, and the effective integration of digital technologies for process optimization and automation.
  • Manage and develop the supply chain: Oversee raw material procurement, logistics, inventory management, transportation, and distribution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality feedstock, efficient product delivery to customers, and leveraging technology to enhance visibility, traceability, and optimization throughout the supply chain network.
  • Drive operational excellence: Implement continuous improvement initiatives across both refining operations and the supply chain, optimizing processes, minimizing waste, and maximizing efficiencies through advanced analytics, process automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure the highest safety and environmental standards: Foster a culture of safety within the refineries and across the supply chain, strictly adhere to all regulations and policies, and minimize environmental impact through responsible resource management and the adoption of sustainable technologies.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control systems: Guarantee the consistent quality and purity of produced critical metals, adhering to stringent quality standards and meeting customer specifications, leveraging technology for automated inspections and real-time quality monitoring.
  • Manage capital projects and expansions: Oversee the planning, execution, and budget management of capital projects for refinery upgrades, capacity expansions, and technological advancements, ensuring alignment with both operational and supply chain optimization goals, and prioritizing the integration of advanced technologies.
  • Develop and nurture talent: Build and lead high-performing teams across both refining operations and the supply chain, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities to empower employees, enhance their skills, and equip them with the necessary expertise to navigate the evolving technological landscape.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams: Partner seamlessly with engineering, procurement, logistics, sales, finance, and IT teams to ensure smooth operations, optimize the entire value chain, and leverage technology to create a collaborative and data-driven decision-making environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field, with an additional focus on technology integration.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the critical metals industry, with a proven track record of success in managing both complex refining operations and supply chains, and a demonstrated ability to effectively integrate technology to drive efficiencies and innovation.
  • In-depth understanding of critical metals refining processes, feedstock procurement strategies, logistics management, inventory control principles, and the potential of cutting-edge technologies within both refining and supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing operational excellence practices, lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and data-driven decision-making across all functions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, delegate effectively, and foster a collaborative and technology-embracing work environment.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility, with a proven track record of maintaining exemplary standards across all operations and the supply chain, while actively seeking sustainable technological solutions.
