Our mission is to move humanity off of fossil fuel heating. 20% of US global warming emissions come from homes (that's more than cars!). The largest driver of home emissions is burning fossil fuels for heat. To stop climate change, over 80M US homes need to transition from combustion to efficient, electric heat pumps over the coming decades.

We believe for this to happen the world needs fantastic products that are easy and desirable to purchase. Today's heat pumps lack great design, make limited use of software, and are difficult and stressful to adopt. We are building a next generation, beautifully designed, AI optimized home heating and cooling system that is 10x better than what is on the market today. And we are making it easy to purchase and adopt by managing all sales, rebates, permitting and installation for our customers.

Role

As a Quilt Advisor, you will be the trusted guide to homeowners considering bringing Quilt's heating and cooling system into their homes. This is a consultative and customer experience oriented sales role. Quilt has many thousands of high-intent customers on a fast growing waitlist for our product that averages $30K per sale. Quilt Advisors will be the primary guide for homeowners throughout their purchase journey, assisting them through an important (and at times intimidating) major purchase decision for their home.

As one of the first members of the Quilt Advisor team, you’ll work directly with customers while helping to build the playbooks and processes to scale the best customer experience possible. The ideal candidate has customer-facing experience as well as an interest, personal or professional, in home improvement.

This is an opportunity to help homeowners make their homes more comfortable, beautiful, electrified, and efficient.. Customers are at the heart of everything we do, and Quilt Advisors will directly ensure our customers have an incredible experience.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with motivated homeowners to assess their needs and home profiles over multiple channels including voice and video calls, email, and chat.
  • Help customers understand the benefits of Quilt and provide an end-to-end empowering experience for purchasing and having a system installed
  • Create customized proposals for customers detailing how their Quilt system will be configured and installed
  • Help customers get answers to questions and details around unit placement, electrical hookups, number of units needed, interior design options, and more.
  • Continually improve the sales process, contributing feedback and input to playbooks, tool configuration, communication and collateral
  • Work with services teams to schedule and coordinate installation
  • Serve as a single point of contact for customers throughout their purchase and installation journey
  • Ensure customers receive all qualifying rebates and incentives

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of sales or customer service experience (though more welcome!)
  • Experience with and passion for home improvement projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you understand your audience, listen and learn what they care about, and efficiently communicate via the means they prefer
  • Eye for interior design and architecture- professional experience with interior design not required, but you care about how spaces are arranged physically and visually
  • Genuine interest in Quilt’s climate mission

This is a full-time, hybrid position in our Redwood City office.

The expected base salary range is $150,000-$175,000 with performance-based variable pay & target bonus in addition. Quilt also offers meaningful equity and top-tier benefits.

We are a growing team of ambitious people who truly care about the impact of their work. We are on a mission to accelerate a species-level human transition. For over a million years we've been burning things to stay warm. It's time to move to a better way of living.
