Overview

Are you looking to make a difference in the world while producing a new product? Tender is revolutionizing the food industry by solving a major global challenge: how to make meat production ethical and sustainable. Going beyond the existing plant-based burgers, we are developing alternative meat whole-cuts – think steaks and chicken breasts – using innovative technologies.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team. Working within our Operations team, you will collaborate closely with our product, engineering, and commercial teams to support company scale-up and production of an entirely new category of alternative meat. You will play a critical role in supporting a period of rapid growth and will have the opportunity to take more responsibilities as the company grows.

About You

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in an operations role, facilities management, or similar position.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with operational and facilities management software and databases.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial planning.
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operational Support:

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of daily operational activities.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering and accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain and update operational databases and systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed.

Facilities Management:

  • Manage building and office maintenance, including repairs and renovations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers (cleaning, security, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Oversee facility space planning and allocation.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and resolve issues.
  • Handle emergency situations and develop contingency plans.
  • Manage facility budgets and expenditures.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and suggest further improvements.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze operational and facilities-related data to generate reports and insights.
  • Prepare and present operational and facilities performance reports to management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against goals.

Project Support:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of operational and facilities-related projects.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Customer and Vendor Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for customer and vendor inquiries related to operations and facilities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Resolve operational and facilities issues and escalate as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
