About the role

To help fulfill this mission, we are looking for an Associate Water Advisor to join the Water Advisors Department at Waterplan. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and partners to provide our customers with tools, analyses, and insights to support decision-making and drive action towards a more water-secure world.

About your core focus

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Research, compile, and analyze water-related information from various sources.

• Develop clear, high quality, relevant insights and outputs for our customers according to their use case and purchase driver.

• Assist in refining data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Collaboration and Expertise:

• Work closely with other parts of Waterplan (Solution Specialists, Senior Water Advisors) to make our customers successful.

• Actively contribute and provide feedback to the Product team to improve and expand our product(s) and services.

• Build expertise through formal and informal training.

Research and Knowledge Sharing:

• Proactively research and share trends and developments in industry, policy, and news to enrich insights for customers and internal knowledge.

Your profile

• Experience: 3 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role.

• Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in a water-related or engineering discipline.

• Skillset:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present data and its implications in clear, concise terms

  • Strong ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful insights.

  • Ability with Google Suite (spreadsheets, presentations, etc.). QGIS or Python a plus.

  • Proactive and hands-on with a collaborative and iterative continuous improvement mindset and approach.

  • Organized with the ability to self-train and manage own time effectively.
